Lord’s Table
Lord’s Table Meeting
Based on the Scriptures (Matthew 26:26-28, Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 11:20, 1 Corinthians 10:21), the Lord’s table, or termed the bread breaking meeting, is a meeting in which the believers come together to remember the Lord.
Meeting Content
We are gathered for the Lord’s Table meeting every Sunday morning starting at 10 am. This meeting composes of two parts: The first part is for remembering the Lord and the second part for worshipping the Father. In remembering the Lord, we contemplate the person and work of the Lord. The bread of the Lord’s table is a symbol signifying the Lord’s physical body broken for us on the cross to release His life that we may participate in it. The cup, signifying the Lord’s blood shed on the cross for our sins, having satisfied God’s righteousness, enacted the the new covenant. Through these, He becomes our eternal portions to enjoy. By partaking the bread and the cup with all believers, we are brought into one fellowship in one spirit to become one Body of Christ in whom all the barriers between God and man as well as among one and another are removed. Thus, we are made one corporate testimony of Jesus Christ on earth.
